Refrigeration, on the cheap,

I found this next to a dumpster and decided to experiment.  Turns out the thing works so I made it into a top loader to conserve energy.  I have another one that's slightly bigger that a friend gave me.  I plan to cut the interior out and add another inch or two of insulation all around.  It will cut down the capacity quite a bit but that's OK.  I'm learning insulation and conservation of energy.

This was a standard apartment size front loading refrigerator. I laid it on it's back and moved the compressor to an upright position.

The inside can hold quite a bit, even in the freezer section.  I'm cutting out the door pieces and making it a flat panel.
